Paul is a professional engineer with 18 years of design and construction experience in both the public and private sectors.
Paul has managed a diverse selection of projects including road and bridge reconstruction, transportation planning, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, municipal servicing, development engineering, drainage and hydrology and stormwater management. His experience in both the public and private sectors helps shape Paul’s approach to consulting engineering.
In establishing Engage, Paul sought to create a small, personal firm where the partners are hands-on and responsive to their clients. For Paul, the greatest satisfaction in the engineering profession is seeing projects come to life from drawings and the impact these works can have on the community. When he’s not designing, Paul is probably on his bike, traveling the roads or trails in and around Peterborough.
Aaron is a professional engineer with 18 years of municipal engineering and project management experience, predominantly within the private sector.
After graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1998, Aaron spent the first 10 years of his career in BC, where he oversaw the engineering design and construction of large residential and resort developments in the Okanagan. Since making Peterborough home in 2009, Aaron has been immersed in the design and implementation of public and private projects within the Peterborough and Eastern Ontario Region. He has extensive experience with preparation of feasibility studies, sewer design, site plans, plan of subdivisions, environmental assessments, and road reconstruction projects. Aaron is excited about the opportunity that Engage Engineering provides for both clients and the community. He believes that Engage’s values are rooted in better understanding the clients’ needs. Likely, when he’s not at the office, Aaron is likely taking in downtown Peterborough on his cruiser bike, vis a vis active transportation.
Originally heralding from Warsaw and backdoor to the County Road 4 reconstruction project:
Since graduating from Queen’s University in 2014, Brad has returned to the Kawartha’s, where he has continued evolving his engineering experience. For just being a young pup, Brad has gained an impressive background of design experience working on stormwater management reports, residential developments, site plans and road reconstruction projects.
Brad joined Engage early in 2015 in order to further grow his career and work towards his P. Eng designation. Out of the office, Brad is an athletic dynamo. He can be found out on the trails on his mountain bike or down by the lake at the cottage……using his cross-country skiing trophies to rocket a few balls into the lake.
Originally from the metropolis of Bobcaygeon, he now calls the big city of Buckhorn home:
Since graduating from Humber College in 2008, Jason has worked exclusively within the private consulting industry, obtaining a comprehensive mix of design and construction inspection/administration experience. Through that time, Jason has established himself as the go-to designer on complex and multifaceted projects. As Engage’s Senior Designer, Jason is an expert at road reconstruction project design, site plans, and urban/rural residential developments.
Having always called the Kawartha’s home, Jason has a wealth of local knowledge to draw on, which supplements his design skills. When he’s not working on the next project(s), Jason can be found out in the great outdoors.
Originally heralding from Warkworth….and rounding out the small town trifecta:
John is a 2005 Loyalist College graduate with a diploma is Civil Engineering. John joined Engage in 2015, bringing with him 12 years of experience in both the consulting and contracting fields of heavy civil construction in the Peterborough area. Through his diverse experience John has developed expertise in a wide range of construction related activities including surveys, construction inspection, contract administration, construction estimating and project management. In case it’s not obvious, John is the go-to guy at Engage for construction related matters; John is able to aid the design team in constructability review and provide a different perspective on projects from initial concept through detail design and to construction.
When not on a construction site, John can be found ATVing, camping, playing guitar and not mountain biking.
Josiah is a Peterborough North-ender. After graduating from Conestoga College, Josiah worked at a consulting firm in the Region of Waterloo where he gained experience working on several road reconstruction projects as well as other civil infrastructure projects. Josiah has since returned to the Kawartha’s and found a place at Engage where he is gaining more project experience.
When he’s not in the office or in the field, Josiah can be found playing his drums or playing hockey.
Originally from the Biggest Little Town of Kearney, Nicole now lives in the Vastly Quaint Village of Lakefield. After graduation from Seneca’s Civil Engineering Technology program Nicole spent a decade working in the public and private sector from Toronto to Thessalon. Her extensive experience and background in transportation design and construction have now landed her at Engage where she hopes to keep up with Jeb as a Civil 3D guru.
When Nicole is not in the office you could expect to find her camping, canoeing, fishing, skiing and generally trying to keep up with her two busy boys.
Mackenzie was born and raised in the big city of Peterborough. After graduating from Queens University Civil Engineering in 2016, she explored the even bigger city of Toronto while working for a consulting firm there. She is excited to be back in Peterborough and gain more municipal experience in the area she grew up in, while working towards her P.Eng. designation.
Out of the office, she enjoys playing sports of all kinds, her favourites are hockey and soccer as well as spending time outdoors at the cottage!
Amy came to us in 2018 (straight?) from the construction sites and ironworking sites of London and Toronto. She loves to support all things local and has a passion for building sustainable relationships in the community. Born in Toronto, raised in Peterborough, she’s travelled as far west as British Columbia and as far east as India. She can read a construction plan, and a HR policy.
1-part bookkeeper. 1-part HR consultant. 2 parts bookworm. 3 parts hockey Mom.
We’ve been lucky enough to snag this guy back to his Kawartha home! Originally from the beautiful area of Chemong Lake, Steve graduated from Mohawk College in Civil Engineering and then went on to also complete a diploma in Geology from Fleming College. He’s spent the past 11 years in Northern British Columbia working in a variety of different projects from small residential to heavy industrial. With experience in the fields of road design and reconstruction, culverts and bridges, site grading, municipal infrastructure and structural design he’s a seasoned veteran in all things design. When out of the office he can be found playing with his two kids, sports including baseball, archery and snowboarding or building something cool.
