Project Description

Ward St, Bridgenorth, Selwyn Township

The Ward Street Widening project is a Schedule ‘C’ Class Environmental Assessment to study potential widening alternatives for the Ward Street corridor.  The project is currently underway and is in the public consultation phase.  The objectives of the study are to improve traffic capacity and operations while providing improved pedestrian facilities and streetscaping enhancements to the corridor.  The study includes extensive consultation with review agencies, local residents and the Bridgenorth Business Community.  The study must balance the competing functions of Ward Street as a high-capacity County arterial road and as the “main street” in the village of Bridgenorth, providing access to local homes and businesses.
